Project Coordinator for ReAct - Action on Antibiotic Resistance

The Department of Medical Sciences is a large clinical institution with approximately 250 employees and over 900 affiliated with the Academic Hospital. The department has a broad research profile with strong research groups in various fields.
The current position as a project coordinator is within the ReAct unit. The unit collaborates closely with other parts of the university, and with ReAct's other regional centers, through exchanges with various institutions and civil society both in Sweden and globally. Job Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include contributing to various projects and work areas within ReAct such as science, policy and advocacy, communication, event planning, results-based monitoring and evaluation, and mobilization of financial resources. Furthermore, it includes coordination, follow-up, and the development of strategies and work plans for the international ReAct network's work.
- Contribute to the work on results-based monitoring and evaluation of ReAct's global efforts
- Plan and execute events and internal meetings within the ReAct network
- Participate in ReAct's ongoing efforts to mobilize funds and diversify our donor base, which includes contacting potential donors, presenting collaboration ideas, developing concept papers, applications, as well as project follow-up and reporting
- Assist in the maintenance, strategic further development, and marketing of ReAct's Toolbox, a web-based resource with tools and guidance for working with resistance issues, https://www.reactgroup.org/toolbox/ (https://www.reactgroup.org/toolbox/)
- Contribute to scientific and policy-oriented work as needed based on the current work plan, and based on the employee's expertise and background
- Contribute to communication efforts by writing articles for newsletters and other external communications
- Other administrative tasks based on the needs of the organization
Job responsibilities can be adapted depending on the candidate's background and areas of expertise.
Qualifications:
- Academic degree in global health or another medical field, social sciences, urban studies, international relations, communication, marketing, or another relevant area
- Previous work in global health, global cooperation, and/or sustainable development
- Previous experience working in international organizations or multicultural networks (within civil society, academia, or government administration)
- Previous experience in project coordination and/or results-based monitoring and evaluation and/or mobilization of financial resources
- Flexibility and ability to work independently, with varying tasks in an international environment
- Excellent command of English (both spoken and written)
Additional Merits:
- Previous experience and expertise in the field of antibiotic resistance
- Previous experience in developing organizational strategies and organizational development
- Previous experience in communication work, e.g., funding applications, policy reports, or opinion articles
- Knowledge of other languages, particularly Swedish and Spanish
- Work/study experience in low- or middle-income countries
- Willingness to travel for work
About the Position
The position is fixed-term from March 1 to December 31, 2026. Extension may be possible. The scope is 50%. Start date is March 1, 2026, or as agreed. Location: Uppsala
